[During his morning run, Thirteen encountered a strange sight. From the brush of the woods, he noticed a pair of small eyes staring at him. He paused, and with a little coaxing and offering of food, he managed to lure a strange-looking creature out from the woods, and it began following him back toward the village.

Honestly, he'd never seen anything like it, but it seemed friendly and harmless enough. That said, he was cautious not to provoke it or do anything to unsettle it. Whatever it was, it was pretty unique looking, it seemed to understand him, and it also seemed remarkably intelligent for an animal. Either way, he'll be bringing it back to the village, and when he gets back to the square, he'll make a call on his journal.]

...Someone mentioned that some odd creatures might be showing up. I believe I've located one.

[With that, he allows his journal to take a picture of the little Espeon sitting near him while he sits next to the fountain.]

If anyone knows anything about it, feel free to contact me or meet me at the fountain.

[...And if no one shows, he figure he'll take care of it. Of course, its trainer is here, so that won't be happening. Anyone else is free to see Thirteen and this strange creature before Red responds and picks up his trusted companion, so long as nothing happens to prevent their meeting.]

Yes. And you're Red?

[Thirteen smiles lightly at Vee dashing over to the young man.]

...He certainly seems happy to see you again.

He must have missed me... It's been a while since we've been together after all.

*Red straightens up and offers a hand to Yellow 13 to shake.*

[He'll take Red's hand and give it a firm shake.]

If you don't mind my asking, what exactly... is he? I've never seen anything like him before.

He's an Espeon... Ah, wait, first, have you heard of Pokemon?

Can't say that I have. My world didn't have any creatures that looked anything like him. The closest I've seen is a cat or a fox. And none of them were purple. Or had a tail or ears like that.

...And they weren't as intelligent as he seems to be.

Oh, he's really smart. Vee's actually psychic.

[A look of skepticism crosses Thirteen's face for a moment, but then he looks back down to Vee. Well, he definitely wasn't like anything he'd seen before, and if he was psychic, it would explain why it seemed so smart and knew that he wasn't going to hurt it.]

Psychic, huh? Like, he can read minds? Or see the future?

He can read minds, yeah. I'm not sure about the future part, I've never asked him.

So, Vee's an "Espeon?" Is that at all like a species of those "Pokemon" you mentioned?

That's right. Espeon is a kind of Pokemon... It'd be easier to explain if I had my Pokedex here.

[He's doing his best to grasp it. So far, Espeon's just another random creature that happens to be able to read minds. Strange choice for a pet, but he's heard of stranger things by now.]

Oh, right... It's a sort of an electronic encyclopedia. It stores information on Pokemon.
