Second Flight: White Noise [Voice, Backdated to 4/24]

[In the mid-morning, Thirteen cracks out his journal. He has a few announcements to make.]

All right. It seems Samurai Goroh's flown off back home again. Shame. He owed me a beer. [He chuckles for a brief moment.] To anyone who knew or was acquainted with him, you have my condolences.

As well, to her colleagues at the clinic, Dr. Litchi Faye-Ling appears to have been taken by the droids in her sleep. Don't think she was hurt, but that said, she won't be attending her shifts.

...Anyway, on to other matters.

[He clears his throat.]

To those of you who don't know me, my name is David Jordan, a major in the Federal Erusian Air Force. You can call me by old callsign, "Yellow 13", if you'd like, though my given name is fine as well. Doesn't really matter to me.

I'm introducing myself because, as some of you may already know, Kurt Wagner recently passed off ownership of the Azzip Pizzeria to me. Now, some of you may be wondering what this means, and if I'll be changing things. Well, yes and no. I do intend on trying a new recipe for making pizza based on how we do things in Erusea, but with that being said, the classic recipe used at Azzip will not change. Just figure I'd throw something new out there as an option to anyone adventurous enough to try it.

So, what I'd like to know from all of you... is what do you all like on your pizzas, anyway? Gotta know what I should stock some of, and with all the different worlds around here, someone's bound to have come up with something creative. If your combination's good enough, we may add it as a menu item sometime.

[...If nothing else, work should get his mind off of Goroh and Kurt vanishing, along with Litchi's kidnapping. Hopefully.]
avaricious: (I'll take this page)

Oh ho ho! It's about time that place opened up again. I do get bored with the other restaurants. So what is this new recipe like?

[Ling thrives off restaurants. The more he can cycle through, the longer it takes for the owners to get sick of him.]
avaricious: (That's just great)

[personal profile] avaricious 2012-04-26 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
Sweeter, you say? Well, I do like to try new things. Though I don't know much about new toppings.
avaricious: (Waiting and watching)

[personal profile] avaricious 2012-04-26 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't realize you could experiment that much. I usually just order what's on the menu.
avaricious: (Dinner bill)

[personal profile] avaricious 2012-04-26 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oh? How about spaghetti? Or maybe some rice?
i_speak_softly: (Yeah let's go)

[personal profile] i_speak_softly 2012-04-26 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
Peanut butter and jelly beans.
fleurdesel: right, smirk, smile, serious (Not certain just yet)

[Voice]

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-04-26 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
The most creative set of toppings on pizza I have ever seen was a take on moules à la normande. It was a...sweeter dough, than usual, with a cream sauce for the mussels and apples.
i_speak_softly: (Mikey! Behold!)

[personal profile] i_speak_softly 2012-04-26 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Or sausage and marshmallow fluff.

[What what, they're good.]
fearless_leader: (Are you scared?)

[personal profile] fearless_leader 2012-04-26 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Don't forget pepperoni, cucumber and chocolate.

[Don't mind Leo popping in, Don.]

fleurdesel: right, smile, smirk, serious (Well that's interesting)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-04-26 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
As long as the apples are fresh and crisp when the pizza goes into the oven? It is wonderful. It kept me fed through the bulk of my residency when I was young.
fleurdesel: left, smile, smirk, sarcastic (I'm sorry)

[Voice]

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-04-26 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
I am certain I would be able to write it out for you once I remember the exact proportions. I may not have been able to cook myself at the time, but I more or less bribed the cook to share the details with me so I might have a friend prepare it for me when I wasn't in the city.
fleurdesel: center, smirk, smile, sarcastic (And I'm still right.)

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-04-26 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
It would be greatly appreciated Monsieur Jordan.
fuckthemission: annoyed;; pout (Yeah whatever.)

[personal profile] fuckthemission 2012-04-26 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
I say go all out, like the ninja turtle says. [wow did i just say that, ninja turtle] Hamburger pizza. Peanut butter pizza. Weird ass stuff. The sky's the limit.

[I do enjoy my fair share of pizza, man. John's was a nice place to get fat.]
avaricious: (Protection)

[personal profile] avaricious 2012-04-26 02:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, so you're saying I'd have to be crazy to try other toppings. And here I thought you were encouraging experimenting.
redjacketthief: @ starkxravingxmad (casual-- staring contest)

[personal profile] redjacketthief 2012-04-26 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Seconding the Normandy one mentioned by the good doctor. Also, have you thought of eggplant or spinache? How about barbecue chicken?

[Don't mind Lupin. He's an omnivour.]
i_speak_softly: (With my bro Leo.)

[personal profile] i_speak_softly 2012-04-27 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Not my favorite, but not bad.

I don't think most people in New York have tried them either. It's too bad; they're missing out.
doubleppk: (Oh go on)

[personal profile] doubleppk 2012-04-27 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
I like veggies on mine! Sometimes chicken.
tailasoldastime: (Staaaare)

[Voice]

[personal profile] tailasoldastime 2012-04-27 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
P... "pizza"? [By the sounds of responses, this is some kind of food, and he likes food.]
fearless_leader: (Trying to think of a plan)

[personal profile] fearless_leader 2012-04-27 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
Or salami and pickle. Or was that Raph's favorite?

Well, we couldn't always afford to order pizza, so we made our own. [And threw on whatever toppings looked good that day apparently.]
wise_maiden: (when the lights are coming on)

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2012-04-27 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It sounds like you've had quite a few creative suggestions already. I admit that I've only ever had pizza once, and that was made by my housemate, so I'm not really familiar with the usual recipe. As far as toppings go, what about lemons?
fleurdesel: left, smile, smirk (Ignore my smugness)

[Voice]

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-04-27 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Many things come to pass in this place that most would never have expected. I never would have thought I'd meet a large, bipedal talking turtle. That enjoys odd things on pizza.
fuckthemission: smile;; troll;; gross;; unsure (Eeeeeh no.)

[personal profile] fuckthemission 2012-04-27 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, I'm not the chef, here; I just remember shaking my head at the fact that I liked it.
redjacketthief: (dunno if i got that)

[personal profile] redjacketthief 2012-04-27 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[Just don't tell him that. He might suggest fried shrimp and avocado as toppings just for the fun of it.]

Hmm...Somebody's all ready mentioned hamburger as a possibility...have you considered taco filling? It wouldn't be that much different from the hamburger, just with different seasonings involved.
wise_maiden: (through so many splintered trees)

[personal profile] wise_maiden 2012-04-27 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it might be something to consider if you find yourself in need of a new twist.
doubleppk: (cheerful normal)

[personal profile] doubleppk 2012-04-27 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes.

Corn is good too sometimes. [She's Japanese.] Oh and extra tomatoes!
fleurdesel: right, smile, smirk, serious (Well that's interesting)

[Voice]

[personal profile] fleurdesel 2012-04-27 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I think the normalcy of it, while odd, makes it all the more worthwhile. Something sane to balance out the inherent madness of this place.
i_speak_softly: (Let me think about that)

[personal profile] i_speak_softly 2012-04-28 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
No, Raph liked salami and jalapeno.

Did Mike ever talk anyone into trying these? He practically lived at Azzip; he must have convinced someone.
avaricious: (Cool and collected)

[personal profile] avaricious 2012-04-28 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'd say now that you're in the pizza business, you can't afford to be hesitant about new types of pizza.
tailasoldastime: (Tell me...)

[Voice]

[personal profile] tailasoldastime 2012-04-28 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Hm... [He's already liking the sound of this dish, anything with meat and cheese has to be good.] What... wh-what can go with the ground beef?
fearless_leader: (God you're a moron....)

[personal profile] fearless_leader 2012-04-28 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Oh right.

I don't think so, why didn't he mention it if he did?
